TECH – eDesign Index Builder Enhancements and Other Tips

The year is in full swing, and here are some announcements and tips to keep you on top of your game!

Index Builder: The latest version of eDesign has been released, and includes the brand-new Index Builder! This feature was discussed frequently during IT Advisory Council and the Summer Sales Summit, and we’re happy to be able to deliver it in time for most customers to use for this season.

Index Builder can be accessed from the Book View > Edit menu, as before. But now, customers are presented with the option to format names and layout, and flow the results directly onto pages. There is also an option to delete an index flow if it needs to be changed, and reflowed.

Be sure to watch the video series for a complete overview of how this feature works, and try it out in your book.

Not sure where the videos are? In the eDesign Help, click “eDesign Videos” in the topic list at the bottom left. There is also a link from the “What’s New” page. Within the list, you’ll find two videos: “Index Builder Wizard – Managing Names” and “Index Builder Wizard – Flowing Index”.
